The location is unbeatable, just a stone's throw from major attractions like the Vatican. The balcony in the Superior Double Room offered a cozy spot to relax after a long day of exploring, adding a nice personal touch to the experience.
The entry is tucked away in an apartment building, which can feel a bit odd for those expecting a traditional hotel front. The bathroom layout is cramped, making it uncomfortable, and there was some confusion with the elevator handle breaking off, costing a bit of my patience.

Vatican Relais is a clean and safe guest house located 4-5 minutes from the Vatican. The rooms are typical European size and feature good air conditioning. I found the staff, particularly Vince, to be exceptionally helpful. Breakfast options were satisfactory for the reasonable price, and the nearby restaurants provided great dining options.

Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement
I enjoyed my stay over four nights in a Superior Double Room with a balcony. The location was great for exploring the city. While breakfast was decent, I recommend trying nearby restaurants for more variety. Book ahead for the best views from the balcony!

The air conditioning worked exceptionally well, keeping everything comfortable despite the heat, and the breakfast, while limited, included fresh pastries and were consistently well-prepared, which I loved. I wish they had more options for breakfast varieties since it was the same every day. I would definitely choose this place again.

It was just a smart choice for a lightning trip in Rome with all in all brilliant value for money. The room was very clean and comfortable, which made returning after a day of sightseeing a real pleasure. Explore nearby cafés for breakfast instead of relying on the hotel’s offerings for variety.

Recommend it for couples
The staff were incredibly helpful,, like when they printed our documents for the trip, making things so much easier. The cozy balcony was a great spot for a late evening glass of wine after a long day.
It wasn't cheap,, but for the comfort and location, it was still acceptable.
